Goals and structure
The AgeTech Accelerator is a regional innovation hub of cooperating organisations in ageing & care, industry, government, research & education with living lab(s) and capital investors. Its regional structure is specifically set up for faster development and large scale implementation of ICT related products and services for ageing and care. More specifically, its main goals are accelerating products and services in the Silver Economy, for successful ageing, support in independent living and support of care givers. Typical instruments are digital transformation of care and care supporting services and technologies by educating and training of care personnel, generating new ideas from care givers and older people themselves, piloting with prototypes, evaluating in real-life settings, developing new business models and investing in promising start-ups and scale-ups. AgeTech Accelerator International is the international umbrella organisation with the national AgeTech Accelerators as partners and all cooperating organisations as members of the community.
